100 Principles of Game Design

Because of a scheduling problem, I was was asked to do the illustrations for a game design book. “Game design you say? This is my area of expertise!” The turnaround was tight, under a month for about 30 spot illustrations. The schedule wasn't the best, but I really wanted to do game illustrations. Exchanging sketches back and forth with the author, we decided that we could have a cast of characters that could be reused which would greatly speed up the work, as well as establish a visual language.

After a month of my regular schedule at work and then spending my time at night creating the illustrations, I was stretched thin. In the end however, I was quite proud of the work and I took another step in mastering a pure vector art style.
